What is a custom molded foot orthotic?

Custom Molded foot orthotics are devices designed to control abnormal foot function. There are several different types of foot orthotics; they range from rigid to flexible depending on your needs.

How does a custom molded foot orthotic reduce foot pain?

Custom molded foot orthotics will distribute your body weight along a greater area. By reducing pressure in certain spots you can reduce pain significantly.

Do I have to wear athletic shoes to accommodate orthotics

No, although athletic shoes work very well with foot orthotics they are not required. You can use orthotics with dress shoes but that will require a "dress" orthotic since they are narrower than regular orthotics. We offer a complete line of dress orthotics in our "Fashion" section.

How long can i expect my orthotics to last?

Orthotics will last for several years if they are properly taken care of. However, orthotics with soft covers will not last as long. They will need replacement covers but the shell (hard plastic) will not need replacing.

Don't I need to get a physicians prescription for custom foot orthotics?

A prescription is highly recommended in order to best assess your needs.

Do you offer a guarantee with your orthotics?

Yes, the shell has a lifetime guarantee against cracking but soft materials used for covers and fillers are not covered. They will need replacing from time to time depending on how much use they get.
